This exhaust system is expertly crafted from high-grade austenitic stainless steel, ensuring durability and longevity. It is specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with the Akrapovič Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) exhaust system. At the core of its design is a tuned resonator located in the middle part of the link pipe. This resonator is meticulously calculated to produce a perfect sound experience, emitting a deep, rich, and sporty tone from the three-cylinder engine. This setup not only eliminates unwanted drone but also ensures that the sound remains crisp and pleasing to the racing enthusiast’s ear.
Performance-wise, the system offers significant enhancements, providing an increase of 13.5 kW (18.4 hp) at 5,900 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at the same rpm range. These improvements come from the synergistic use of the Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) coupled with an Evolution Link Pipe (SS), as verified on the Akrapovič dyno testing against a GR Yaris equipped with a standard stock exhaust.
Additionally, the link pipe is 19.6% lighter than the stock version, which contributes to the overall efficiency of the vehicle. It is important to note that this exhaust system is intended for use on racetracks and closed courses, and it necessitates a mandatory remapping of the ECU to achieve optimal performance.
